Interaction of circular hollow sections with STRE C enhanced. (215479)

AQUA

Bugfixes

A crash could occur when generating many stress points on shear cuts.

Shear cuts in complex cross-sections with multiple materials were sometimes not processed correctly, especially when the shear cut was on a material boundary. Then the separated shear cut areas could be incorrect. Sometimes cuts parts were not sorted correctly. Some geometry checks were missing. (215994,211158)

Shear cuts Bmax: In many standards, the distance from the outer surface to the centreline of the longitudinal reinforcement is required to determine the effective thickness t-eff. AQUA now determines the distance value from the distance of the polygon describing the Bredt's equivalent cross section, to the outer edge of the material. If this polygon does not exist, the lines and circles of the torsionally active longitudinal reinforcement are checked. According to original EN 1992-1-1, 6.3.2, the effective wall thickness t-eff is the maximum of A/u and twice the distance. According to DIN EN 1992-1-1, 6.3.2, is t-eff twice the distance. According to OEN EN 1992-1-1, 9.3.1, is t-eff the maximum of the double distance and the inscribed circle d/6. Due to the now determined t-eff, the widths of the shear sections can change with the default setting BMAX 'DIN', 'LEON' and 'EC'.

The warnings for not clear buckling clamping (no 344 and 345) also output when the material was not a steel.

The stored secondary groups in the finite element subdatabase (STEU STYP FEMX) were not correct.

Rearranged polygonal shear sections were not saved together with their stress points, causing the AQB results could be incorrect.

Record HMAT: The default of the moisture ratio NSP for concrete (3%) and timber (10%) did not used for the individual temperatures. (217426)

AQUA

Features

Hollow steel profiles now have preset edge designations (for a hot design). Profile types: RHS, RHSC, HSS, SHas, CHS, CHSC, HSSr. (199589,202093)

The new standard cross section "shear wall" (SHRW) is used to create simple cross sections as shear walls for stability and earthquake checks including design.

Life cycle assessment (LCA) data can be provided for individual materials in order to obtain sums of the CO2 concentration for the Global Warming Potential.

Bugfixes

Sometimes jumps in variables along axis were not recognized during interpolation. Sometimes more cross-sections than necessary were generated.

The meshing (STYP FEM) of several cross sections could influence each other.

Changes of stiffnesses in construction phases (e.g. via "SV FACE...") sometimes became effective too early.

Torsional moment of inertia, shear center, shear areas, torsional resistance and shear resistances of standard T beams are calculated more accurately by numerical integration.

The design internal forces Vy and Vz were determined to be approx. 4 % too large for STYP BEM 1 and 2.

The plastic Mt2 was sometimes not calculated using a nonlinear incremental displacement-controlled FEM approach, even if "STEU PLAS 2" was set.

Some control options of default stress points (CTRL SCUT 16*n) were not used.

Standard stress points in construction phases sometimes did not have unique names, so that the AQB results (stresses) could not be clearly assigned.

Shear cuts in construction stages with an end-definition worked sometimes not properly.

During the cross-section export, internal variables were sometimes output.

Other Issues

The location of default stress points in corners is now defined in the original coordinate system.

In the output, shear cuts are now always printed together with their stress points.

The input of "inner" polygon points ("QPOL I" or "QP I") is no recommended, as such polygons lead to difficulties in the cross-section editor CSE (SOFiPlus). Instead, holes should be entered via a separate polygon with the material "0". AQUA now warns an input with "inner" polygon points as "obsolete" and replaces the "inner" points by an own polygon with the material "0".

The control option "CTRL RFCS +4" is obsolete. (207640)

ASE

Bugfixes

Quad nonlinear crack width calculation with torsion mxy brought to new state of the art (Eurocode prEN_1992-1-1 (G.23)). Especially in corners of slabs the strain part (epssm-epscm) is now calculated much more realistic (higher). But without effect on stresses or displacements!

BDK

Features

New cross-section plots.

The program now takes the corresponding cross-section values for the given construction stage, which are defined via loadcase. In the previous versions, BDK always used the cross-section values of the last construction stage.

BEMESS

Bugfixes

Denmark: Crack width design with torsion mxy updated to new state of the art (Eurocode prEN_1992-1-1). Especially in corners of slabs the strain parts (epssmx-epscmx) and (epssmy-epscmy) are now added, as the moments mI and mII differ more than a specific proportion. This leads to higher crack width sspecially in corners of slabs. Near mI=mII it will be interpolated between 2.5-7.5 % difference in mI/mII (see feps in the output table):
For all other codes this new method is not yet used but can be selected with CRAC...SAND (for sandwich). With this revision also other inaccuracies in the crack analysis including torsion mxy were corrected. (210165)

Punching: in case of missing MAXIMA QUAK nodal results slight different punching forces were calculated in a 2D or 3D analysis - corrected. (214608)

Quad Tendons: problems in decompression check solved in case the tendons do not point into the local x axis of the quads. Further: in case two quad elements with different local x axis attach to a node, then at this node no tendons are taken into account any longer. (214705)

Punching: analyis of epar according equation 6.44 corrected for rotated columns. (216179)
